To me, Gohan was an amazing character. He went through such an amazing transformation through the series, that at times he seemed like a whole different person. He went from this small, timid, little kid who sat inside and studied all day to this epic and strong warrior. He even surpasses Goku at one point. But after Cell saga, many seem to dismiss him. He began pursuing his original dream of becoming a scholar and fans hated him for that. But, Gohan did enjoy fighting for awhile through the show and he never gave up. It was just that the times of peace averted his focus and gave him a chance to do something other than fighting. And just because Gohan isn’t super obsessed with fighting and aspires to follow another dream, doesn’t make him lame. Overall, Gohan is a very enjoyable character and is so varied in his personality that it makes his such a cool and admirable character.
